Before going to the trouble of scanning a print article, make sure it is not available from the library in digital form. The library staff will be more than happy to help you check on the availability of the article in electronic format. If the article is available electronically, you can simply place a link in Canvas and there are no copyright considerations. If the article is not available electronically, you may post the article to Canvas for a limited amount of time. If you wish to use the article repeatedly as reading for the class in subsequent semesters, you should seek permission from the publisher of the article.
