The length of a time a book checks out for is different for different kinds of books, based on their usage. A list of checkout periods for different collections is given below.

Main Collection: 6 weeks

Fiction Collection: 6 weeks

Best Sellers: 3 weeks

Reference: most are In Library Use only, some 1 week; indicated on spine of each book in this collection

Audiobooks: 6 weeks

Juvenile Collection: 6 weeks

DVD Collection: 3 weeks

Periodical Collection: 1 week

Reserve Collection:  Reserves course materials vary from in-library use only to 6 weeks, depending on the instructor's preferences.  Test guides typically check out for one week.
